Will any medication be able to cure HIV infections by the end of 2030?

Market Rules

This event predicts whether any medication will be shown to cure HIV infections by December 31, 2030. For this market, cure means complete eradication of HIV from the body without the need for ongoing treatment. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be peer-reviewed clinical evidence or regulatory determinations confirming a cure.

If a medication is demonstrated through robust clinical evidence to completely eradicate HIV without ongoing therapy by December 31, 2030, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Functional cures requiring lifelong treatment will not count. If evidence is ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consensus reporting from major medical journals and health authorities. Resolution will reflect confirmed eradication, not remission. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
